SUMP PUMPS

SUMP PUMPS

K-VS™ Heavy Duty Vertical sump pump is designed for handling abrasive and corrosive liquids and slurries, while submerged in sumps or pits. Suited for applications requiring greater reliability and durability than conventional vertical process pumps can offer.

The K-VS™ pump range is available in various standard lengths to suit common sump depths, offers a wide range of configurations allowing the pump to be tailored to a specific application. Wetted components are available in a wide range of alloys and elastomers. KETO selects the optimum combination of materials for maximum resistance to wear in the required application.

  • Mineral processing
  • Chemical processing
  • Coal preparation
  • Effluent handling
  • Gravel & sand
  • Setting depths from 0.9m to 2.4m
  • Concentric casing minimises shaft load over wide operating ranges and reduces wear
  • Simple installation
  • Cantilever design so there are no submerged bearings or shaft seals
  • Cast bearing housings result in increased critical speeds and lower vibration levels than legacy equipment
  • Can run dry (snore) continuously
  • Large impeller passages means a reduced risk of blockage
  • Top and bottom inlets are suitable for snore conditions, with no need for priming and self venting
  • Available in a pre-fabricated conical sump with quick clean facilities
  • Replaceable strainers allows for easy maintenance
  • Bearings are interchangeable with KETO horizontal pumps, reducing inventory levels
  • Ease of maintenance
  • Mineral processing
  • Chemical processing
  • Coal preparation
  • Effluent handling
  • Gravel & sand

Cost-effective and versatile, designed for submergence of the ‘wet end’ in pits or sumps and capable of handling a range of applications. This robust and functional design has been engineered for continuous and/or intermittent pumping of slurries, offering reliable performance and excellent wear endurance.

The cantilever design minimises the risk of flow blockage during performance on site and features non-submerged roller bearings or seals. The design allows for simple installation on site and features an unlined casing design, with a minimal amount of parts for swift and easy overhaul.

Important features of the K-TVS™ Sump pumps are, the ‘twin volute discharge’ incorporated into the casing to reduce shaft deflection and radial load to the impeller. The ease of disassembly due to the use of cotters and victaulic clamps allow minimal downtime during wear component replacement. The K-TVS™ pumps are available in a variety of different setting lengths to reach the depths required for the duty.

  • Standard lengths: 990mm, 1370mm, 1830mm, 2200mm, 2740mm, 3050mm, 3450mm and 4000mm (lenghts above 1830mm include cutless elastomers intermediate bearing/s)
  • Size: 75 mm (3”)
  • Flows to: 120 m³/h (528 US gpm)
  • Heads to: 30 m (100 ft)
  • Casing supported by discharge pipes for reduced radial loading on impeller
  • For ease of maintenance, casing parts fastened by two quick-release cotters and salvic joints
  • Casing supported by discharge pipes for reduced radial loading on impeller
  • The twin discharge features an adjustable single bolt V-drive and impeller adaptable for range of slurry transport duties
  • Grease lubricated and sealed with labyrinth type seals
  • Open five-vane top suction impeller design enables the handling of large solids
  • Ability to run dry
  • Special grease retainer on non drive end, provides improved containment of grease in the non drive end bearing cavity
  • Various materials to suit application
  • Drainage
  • Magnetite mixing
  • Spillage
  • Sump drainage
  • Floor washing
  • Dewatering
  • Acid & alkaline duties
