CPB & S Horizontal (Black or Brown Epoxy) Centrifugal Pumps

  • Monoblock (CPBS) design or
    long coupled (CPB) units.
  • Capacities up to 440 m3/hour
  • Heads up to 60 meters
  • Temperatures up to 180°
Suitable for

Contaminated liquids, corrosive chemical effluent containing solids, cold or very hot acids, solvents, alkali’s, fatty acids, sea water and brine lye.
  • Designed and manufactured in South Africa to suit local conditions
  • Used in nearly all major South African chemical industries and in many platinum, gold and uranium mines, where a harsh, corrosive environment is present, and downtime costs must be kept to a minimum
  • Corrosion resistant due to solid cast epoxy resin being used throughout internal and external surfaces with the exception of the shaft which is covered by an epoxy shaft sleeve
  • Certain corrosive chemicals which are generally processed in contact only with expensive materials such as titanium, may well be amenable to epoxy components
  • Shaft sealing by means of all types of factory fitted mechanical seal arrangements ie.single internal, single external and double internal seals
  • Vee belt, direct or Long coupled drive options
  • Vortex impellers allow large solid through let and can handle corrosive/abrasive slurries
  • The bearing frame consists of two grease lubricated ball bearings. The exceptional robustness of the epoxy frame allows absorption of axial pressures
  • Pump can be flushed by means of a drain plug
  • Option of epoxy resin or fabricated steel base-plates
  • All units tested and inspected before despatch
  • High quality – manufactured to ISO 9002
  • Reliable
  • Light in Weight
  • Relatively low cost due to the epoxy manufacturing process not requiring the welding, stress relieving, machining and rubber lining of metals offering similar performance
  • Low maintenance requirement and cost
  • Available under very short notice
  • Dry-running protection devices such as thermosyphon systems and no-flow switches can be incorporated to minimise wear and tear.
  • Epoxy resins withstand combined heat, abrasion and corrosion better than any other conventional plastics
  • Other chemical pumps cost more or do less, often both
  • We offer qualified expert assistance in the design and selection of the most cost-effective pump unit for all your chemical plant requirements.
  • Customers specific applications are computer processed and checked against our comprehensive technical data base
  • A complete chemical resistance chart based on long term tests is available
